Cloth Diaper Issues- Sizing

Everyone loves the idea of a One Size diaper. These diapers are made with multiple adjustments so that you can use this diaper up until the day your little one is ready for the potty. The problem we see with one size diapers is that our babies sometimes fall in between some of the sizings. One sizing may start to get tight while the next size up is just too loose which both can cause discomfort and leaks. This is where having some actual sized diapers can be nice. I had a few thirsties duo wraps and duo diapers that were size 2 and when my little guy finally fit them, they were perfect up to potty training. I’ve also used some sized rumparooz with much success.

Another issue with sizing is that most OS (one size) diapers will not fit a newborn baby. And I say MOST because some babies are born really chunky and we love it! And then some diapers are really excellent at getting down to a newborn size such as softbums OS newborn diaper.  My solution to this is to either stock up on newborn sized prefolds and covers wich is much more inexpensive than you might think…or you could disposable diaper your way through the next couple weeks/months but just think of how much your going to spend and it is all literally going in the trash 🙁 Washing cloth isn’t as hard as you might think.

I always recommend mommies to buy different brands, styles, materials, and sizes so that they can get an idea of what they really love.
